I am sad that I don’t write about more places in India. Restaurants like ‘Buvanchi’ are a true joy. This family run restaurant, started off as a tiny stall and now their 3rd generation is running one of the most successful places in Lonavala. Oh, and the food is unbelievably good.
It is a great moment of pride for a chef when they are able to convey their ideologies, their culture and their love through good food. That is what is happening at Musubu. Miguel and Sako have brought their cultures together where their work shines beautifully through the dishes presented to you.
I don’t want to say much to reel you into reading this article. This is about my favourite restaurant in Porto. Miguel is someone who has a tremendous focus on his produce, doing everything himself and serving the most consistently mouth-watering food.
When it comes to good, street-side style Mexican food; Aguacate does it the best. Here is a little story about how this small yet flavour packed place came to be. Based in a really unique setting for the streets of Porto.
One of the best “grandma-run” cafés in Porto. It is only now that Porto is being recognized as the amazing city it is. But back then, when there was not as much tourism, it wasn’t an easy task to set up a café like Buuh. I am glad they pulled it off though.
Serving a community during the day as a grocery store and making people happy with amazing food during the night. This place is one of the most unique you could encounter in Porto. There is a beautiful story behind its existence.
